    Hi there!

This is my first post here.

I'm a pretty new T-mobile G2 Touch (HTC Hero) user. I got it 2 weeks ago. So today I shoot my first video with it. I used the default settings. Such as: Encoding type: MPEG4, and I shoot it with the sound on. When I finished I could reviewed the video on the Hero, along with the sound. But the problem showed up when I transfered the video on my PC.

Firstly the file showed up like 3gp file, not like MPEG4, and when I tried to play it with VLC it showed me some problem and play back without sound. And the video quality was 3gp quality, although it was set to high resolution and MPEG4 format.

So if anyone had solution or the same problem please reply.

whenever I have problems with VLC playing back file formats, I check the codecs, have you done this.

Also make a copy of the file and then edit the filename and save it as a .MP4 and see what happens.
