HTC Incredible question. Power key.

I want to know if there is a work around for the power key on the top of the phone. Its completely stupid to have to hit it everytime and then slide the lock down to bring up the screen. Logic would tell you and every customer who plays with mine that you would tap the optical mouse and then slide the lock down. I want that. If theres an app I would love to know about it. Thanks
