Help HTC Incredible S won't update apps/software

Hey guys,

I have had my incredible S since about July of 2011.

On a semi regular basis it notifies me that undates are available, but when I click on it, all the apps just say 'starting download' but absolutely nothing happens. I have tried leaving it for a good 10-15mins but to no avail.

From memory, nothing has successfully updated since receiving the phone last year.

Also I have never been prompted to update my software (although I'm not entirely sure whether I should have been yet or not, but I imagine so). I am currently still operating on 2.3.3.

If at all possible, I would love to avoid having to do a factory reset.

Any help would be great!

Just a suggestion...Maybe u need to update your HTC IS to android 2.3.5 and HTC sense 3.0 and see what will happen to this problem...

I don't know if you're still having this problem. I had this problem also. Mine got fixed indirectly. I ended up rooting my phone to try out ICS and decided I didn't like the ICS ROM I had and flashed back to stock GB2.3.5 Sense3.0. The stock one worked fine and allowed me to redownload the widgets and everything looks good now
