Ok, so i saw this article on Android Central about HTC releasing the source code for the Incredible maintenance update.

HTC releases source code for Desire Z, T-Mobile G2, DInc update | Android Central

I am rooted and used the 2.2 RUU OTA, so if they released another update, I dont know if I would have been notified, but I figured it would show up on here, and I havent seen anything mentioned.

Since doing the 2.2 update, my GPS is off about 600 ft, and I have noticed a couple other bugs. If HTC fixed the issue, I would love to grab the update. Is this article refering specifically to the 2.2 update?, or has HTC released/will release a new update?

Thanks!

It seems that the only recently released source code on there relates to bluetooth. Nothing else new or exciting.

Can someone explain exactly what this means? I've been waiting for a bluetooth upgrade. Is this something that will be released as an update to 2.2? Thanks!

Verizon doesn't like constant updates, especially given their testing and OTA cycles. HTC is currently working on 2 confirmed and 1 unconfirmed update;

-maintenance update to fix various bugs (confirmed to me and many others via HTC customer support)
-2.2 update with new Sense UI (confirmed via Spanish Twitter)
-Gingerbread update (unconfirmed, can't really start it until released to source, but willing to bet this will be the final Incredible update before EOL)

I'd bet that they roll everything up into their final update, rather than releasing 2-3 more OTAs. However, it's possible that they roll the first two (MR + Sense UI) into an OTA, and then drop Gingerbread as the final OTA. Everything outside of the two confirmed updates though is pure speculation on my part.

When htc released the source code for the 2.2 update the ota followed about a week maybe two weeks later if I'm not mistaken. So maybe we can expect to see something in a week or two. I hope they fixed the fm radio and the htc player, ever since the 2.2 update it's been sheet!

None of the new source code posted pertains to that. This is Bluez only.

I was speculating a pattern, and nothing more. I noticed the Bluez which I have no idea what that is. First guess something with bluetooth, dunno!

First guesses are usually correct. It is bluetooth, although what may or may not have been improved remains to be seen.

The only thing I can see this update helping me out with (if it is a bluetooth update) is the time it takes in connecting to devices, specifically my parrot kit in my car. It has gotten faster in connecting since the 2.2 update but it can sometimes take as long as 5 minutes still.

fingers crossed that the update will incorporate access to htcsense.com remote locate/wipe. I really don't understand why companies just don't make this feature a fundamental service from the get-go...just common sense when a smart phone has so much personal data now a days.

First source release was first week of August (like the 2nd or 3rd), while the OTA started at the end of August. It was about 3-3.5 weeks between.

Using the released source code as a guide, I'd surmise that the odds of what you're hoping for are slim to none on this one. Sometime down the road, perhaps... but assuredly not included today.

Is this downloadable/usable now? BT barely works in my car and I'm anxious to see if this upgrade will help.

It works in my car but it is slow to connect and it doesn't actually let me download my phonebook but I can make calls from the phone but use the microphone with the BT.

I would love for Bluetooth to work properly and connect quickly.

OHHHH literal Medion. So I was a little off. Give me a break, geeeezz!

I really could care less about this update to be honest with you. My phone works great as is! I'm to the point where I want to start exploring with home screens, maybe launcher pro. Getting bored, don't want to root.
