htc knackered

hi im a newbie and i tried to install what i thought was 2.2 but was vodafones bloatware totally disgusted lol anyhow i seeem to have knackered my desire as i have nothing now when i turn it on it i get fastboot and 3 wee andriods at the bottom can anyone help me i dont think the backup works as ive tried in vain to restore and nothing
