Water damage to my HTC Legend. Sprayed computer screen cleaner on it to clean off some gunk. Sent it to HTC for repair. Repair refused due to water damage. Beyond economic repair was the verdict.
But ...
Phone still switches on
HTC start up jingle works
Volume control works
Battery charges up
Buttons light up.
Just dead screen so nothing responds
Could it be just the digitizer needs replacement?
(I am presuming HTC would have done the flush out when it went to them).
If it were just the digitizer/screen, I think I could do the teardown myself and have a go at repair. Is this a go? Or just junk it?
