Help HTC One M8 update stream

Hi,

Sorry if this is in the wrong place, but this is my first post and am still learning!

I have a One M8 on EE (I'm in the UK), is there a way to get updates from HTC when they release them to unlocked phones rather than waiting for EE to push the updates out? EE release updates really late and I am hoping to get Lollipop when HTC release it.

Hi Joshsp98. Welcome to Android Forums and to the M8 discussion area. I hope you enjoy your phone and this area and it's great members help you to max out that enjoyment.

Conventionally, you can go into your settings>System Update>Check New and see if there are updates available for your phone.

You can try converting it into a dev unlocked edition by running the Ruu over at xda.
