Hey all, I'm having kind of a weird problem with my HTC Inspire (rooted, running CM7.) Oftentimes, when I attempt to turn my mobile data on, it will not come on and I will have to turn my phone off and then on to connect to the mobile network. Perhaps related to this, the phone sometimes will not show a signal in places where I know that there is a signal, and only switching into airplane mode and then back out fixes the problem. Perhaps related to this, the phone also has some difficulty connecting to WiFi networks that aren't at full signal strength -- i.e., the one at my school. My iPod connects effortlessly and automatically, but my Android will struggle for 5-10 minutes trying to get a connection. Any ideas on either of these (possibly related) problems are much appreciated. Thanks!
I think you should either reflash your kernel, or change it to another kernel, if one is available for CM7 on your device. It's most certainly an AOSP ROM issue. I've had the same problem with AOSP ROMs on my HTC Evo 3D, but it works flawlessly when it has a Sense ROM installed.
