    Hello Everyone,

I'm quite concerned i've somehow inherited a bit of bad luck. I went to work with my HTC Desire, working. Used it at lunch again working, but, when i took it out on my way to go home NO DISPLAY! The buttons light up, it receives calls as normal, but i can't do anything with it as i can't see a damned thing! Has anyone else experienced this problem?...

It isn't down to user abuse i treat my droid like my son.

It's only about 2/3 months old on an upgrade from Orange UK.

    Please help

    Welcome to the Andoid Forums.

Have you tried a battery pull and reboot? If the splash screen doesn't display, I'd say the screen is defective. As long as it's not cracked or the moisture sensor doesn't show you dropped it in the sink, you should be eligible for a replacement.

Yeah, tried the battery pull and reboot, but the screen does nothing. The phone looks like it just came out the box no damage to the screen whatsoever. I really cant understand it at all.

Even being a newbie i'm still amazed that a phone can have a moisture sensor!... what other sensors has it hiding in there?...

    Thanks

Lot's of things can make a screen go, but so long as you didn't do physical damage to the phone, they should fix it or replace it for you.

the usual ... GPS, gyro, porn, accelerometer, thermal ... some of the newer phones also have a NFC chip in them.
