HTC senation xe "sound" problem

this phone changes my ringtone back to the default every time i connect to a pc - why? the ringtone i want is in the ringtones folder, it works fine until i connect to my laptop as a [COLOR=#0054a6 !important][FONT=inherit !important][COLOR=#0054a6 !important][FONT=inherit !important]disk [/FONT][/FONT][FONT=inherit !important][COLOR=#0054a6 !important][FONT=inherit !important]drive[/FONT][/COLOR][/FONT][/COLOR][/COLOR]. Then after i disconnect (properly!) it has changed...

also the phone totally ignores the notification sound i have set for [COLOR=#0054a6 !important][FONT=inherit !important][COLOR=#0054a6 !important][FONT=inherit !important]text [/FONT][/FONT][FONT=inherit !important][COLOR=#0054a6 !important][FONT=inherit !important]messages[/FONT][/COLOR][/FONT][/COLOR][/COLOR] and again sounds the default even though i am using one of the phones standard sounds..

this on top of the previosly reported volume problem ...

i'm not too impressed with this [COLOR=#0054a6 !important][FONT=inherit !important][COLOR=#0054a6 !important][FONT=inherit !important]phone [/FONT][/FONT][FONT=inherit !important][COLOR=#0054a6 !important][FONT=inherit !important]right[/FONT][/COLOR][/FONT][/COLOR][/COLOR] now! You would think phone designers would be able to get the basics right by now.. looking at the number of problems encountered by users posting to various forums, maybe instead of producing multiple different handsets they should just make a few and concentrate on getting them right
