Hello. I can't seem to figure out how you can change the calendar app alert to a downloaded sound. I figured out how to do this with ringtones where at the top of the ringtone selection screen there is a button that reads "new ringtones" and it takes me to my music/download file list.

However, when I go in to the notification settings in the calendar app I can't seem to get to my music/download files. Any ideas on how you can set a custom alert in the calendar app? The only options I see take me to the HTC Sense login and that isn't where I want to go.

this is because android only lists stuff that it sees as "notification sounds" when selecting an alert (while any sound file is accepted as a ringtone)
    so there's two options:
    1. there are apps that let you select any sound as an alert
    2. create a folder called "notifications" and place your alert sounds there (may need to reboot for the system to update)
