On the same page is info (that we already know) about 2.2 though HTC are recommending backing up your data!

How did you download it? You need a Wildfire serial number as far as I can see.

I've managed to sync my itunes playlist with my desire using htc sync 3 but nothing shows up in the media player? If i use astro file manager they are there and i can play them but as i said nothing in the media player?

My problem with HTC Sync 3 is that it does a few songs and then in the bottom left hand corner where it shows the song it seems to hang...

Don't feel I can complain too much, since this isn't supposed to be for the Desire - but hang it does... Anyone else get this problem?

it does seem to hang on each song on mine also, but then it seems to jump massively and is then finished. not bothered tho as seems to work a treat!

Cant seem to sync people. cant turn the option on, as with photos. both are greyed out

I was a little premature in praising the itunes sync. It progresses to around the 60% mark and stops, the sync never completes.

I was wondering if it is possible to sync only specific calndar folder/s in Outlook 2003 with my HTC desire (Android 2.2 with HTC sync 3.0)
The old version of HTC sync 2.x had this option.

When I run HTC Sync 3 and select music, my itunes playlists don't appear in the list. Is it looking for the itunes library in a specific location as mine has been moved? Can't see anywhere in the Sync software to tell it where to find the library.

I have been having the same issue, I just updated from a Iphone to a HTC Desire.

I download the lastest version of HTC Sync "3.0.5511", and I am am to sync my calc, contacts, and photos, but when I try and sync my Itunes playlists then my HTC Sync hangs.

I have allow this to run for over a hour and it don't seem to move.

I am using windows 7 Ultimate, with no Virus scan software, and my firewall is Comodo, has anyone be able to resolve this issue.

HTC Sync, as far as I can tell, is rubbish. Its the on ething that lets these HTC phones down, the absence of a rosk solid synch programme. It never syncs my music properly, or my calendar.
Does anyone know of another good sync programme for the Desire ?

if not, then is there is good sync App that will us to sync Itunes music onto a Phone
