Help HTC Sync and game saves?

I have had som serious issues with my HTC Sensation and need to do a hard reset, htctold me to use htc sync to backup all my stuff but i'm wondering if HTC Sync will backup my game saves
I cant find the game save on the memory card and therefor not just copy it.
Really dont wanna lose the game since ive gotten pretty far on it
So anyone know if HTC Sync will backup my game saves or if there is a way to backup my game saves if its not on the sd card? Does HTC Sync backup application and games, if it does, does the game save "come with" the backup of the app/game?

any help would be great!

HTC Sync won't backup game saves unfortunately. Contacts, calendar, pics and vids, but not apps or app data.

You can't backup the saves without root access.

There's a free app in the market that lets you backup and restore Angry Birds and you don't need root. I've just swapped all my scores from my N1 to the Sensation
