I've read in several places that prior to rooting I should uninstall HTC Sync. Does this mean that after rooting I can no longer use it? Or does it just interfere with the process of rooting?

I use it at work to sync my Outlook calendar, and I'm not sure if I have any other options. Because of security, I can only do wired syncs, and they aren't going to let me install any random software. I had to obtain permission to install HTC Sync from our IT dept. Using Google Sync is entirely impossible.

I've been hunting for an answer to this for about an hour. Seems my Google-fu is malfunctioning tonight.

    Thanks!

You can still use it. Any issues are related to the actual rooting procedure...specifically glitches between it and Unrevoked.

Awesome, thank you. I don't have it installed on my home computer that I'll use to root, so no issue there!
