Huawei announces the Ascend D Quad line of phones

Looks just like a Samsung GS2 to me. I'd like to see Cricket get something like this later this year. Since the Mercury seems to be selling out everywhere, hopefully Cricket will realize that people will pay good money if the phone is actually worth it (unlike the Indulge).

Nice, I wonder what the chances are of Cricket getting this phone?

It'll probably be too expensive for Cricket, but you never know. Maybe the price of the p1/p1s will fall into Cricket range with this coming out.

Maybe not so much the P1 since that is 4g(?). Either way it would be nice to have a variety to choose from high end smart phones with Cricket.

True, but Cricket might start rolling out their 4G network later this year and want a nice phone to launch it. Plus, the Indulge was 4G before it came to Cricket so who knows?

Is it true that for a cell phone to be 4g capable, it needs a sim card or something?

Yes, the LTE phones have a sim card just for the 4G.

Not for the phones, the 4G is only for Crickets wireless usb thing. Next year is when they will launch 4G for the phones, rumored of course.
