Huawei has unveiled its new Kirin 960 which uses a 16nm manufacturing process. The chip includes four Cortex-A73 cores and four low-powered A53 cores. The Kirin 960 is also the first to use the new Mali-G71 MP8 GPU. The new GPU is 180% more powerful than the Mali-T880. Huawei is expected to use the Kirin 960 inside the upcoming Mate 9 which will be unveiled on November 3.
