If I wanted to keep my phone safe, and make it so that I don't have to go to the store to get a replacement, what are some things that I should not do to it. Like, what are things that I would have to do to brick my phone. This is so I don't use my warranty because I love my unrooted eris on 2.1. ;)

Of course, there's the obvious like don't run it over, smash it with a bat or anything, but what are some things that would brick it and HTC wouldn't be able to tell me what happened and fine me for it.

You want to break your phone so you can take it back to the store and return/exchange it?? But you don't want Verizon to know that you did it intentionally, you want them to think it just broke on it's own?

Please just stop this. If you want a new or different phone, pay for it.

yeah no issue. I even listed it as having 2.1. Most people have no idea, or even care. I was just honest about it. I got the same price as others on ebay were getting with 1.5. I would try craigs list first, ebays fees are really high.

Doesn't the insurance cover lost/theft? So, loose your phone or have it stolen.

You could find an apathetic VZW rep at the store who probably won't ask questions.
