I am stuck and don't know which way to go. I could go back to stock and lose free wireless hotspot and underclocking. Or I could do three new custom 2.2 but people are losing wireless tether and 4g which is a no no. I don't know how to install the new 2.2 out how to " wipe" which is what I need to do. any help or guidance would help.

Hmm. Did you just download it off of the 3 links at the bottom of the first post on this page? I hope it's that easy. I am very new to this.

If your afraid to break your phone or tinker with stuffs then go stock. The customs rom are good for wifi and other hacks but have a few bugs. One the speech to text icon is missing from the keyboard. Two I cannot switch to a different keyboard that I install. Three the camera now shows 3mp camera instead of 8mp camera. Different rom may have different bugs so this may or may not apply all the custom roms out there.

Are you using a beta rom? The latest Fresh appears to be fully functional... Looking forward to flashing DC 3.5 final tonight though.
