Support I bought 2 note 5 that are blacklisted

    So I ended up buying to note 5s on Craigslist and they are both blacklisted they are on t mobile is there anything I can do to use them on a different carrier or anything?

    Not really. Carriers will generally cross check for bad ESNs. Going forward, it is perfectly legitimate to ask a seller what the ESN and MEID are, so that you can check them BEFORE purchase... and when you go buy the phone, verify that the actual number is the one they gave you.

    I've read some people advise doing the handover in the carrier's store and getting them to check the status of the handsets before paying money. Remember that a handset could be in good standing when you buy it, but if it is still under contract and the seller then breaks that contract it will be blacklisted once they stop paying.

    All I can suggest now is to see what recompense you can get from the seller (which I fear will be "not much").

    Next time use Swappa, they verify the ESN's. Or do the deal in-store as suggested.
    Chalk these up to lessons learned, use them as wifi-only devices (i.e. media players), resell them with full disclosure (some people will still buy them this way) or toss 'em.
