Hi, I bought a Voto X2 (I think it's the same phone as the Umi X2) and while I'm satisfied initially, I discovered that there is a program in the firmware that automatically install adware and games. They were pretty easy to identify since I knew I didnt install them and they were in Chinese.

So, I rooted my phone with Framaroot and installed App Master. I was able to uninstall suspicious apps that came with the firmware. I also added supersu to ask for permissions for every app. It's been a day I left my phone on my wifi and I do not see any adware being installed.

I think I did get rid of that problem. My phone has been for all this time been without a SIM card and I'm about to install one in. I did hear stories about those kind of phones sending expensive SMS to China without you knowing. I was wondering how I can check for that kind of problem. I do not have access to the invoice for the SIM card because it's on a company phone and I just want to switch to a personal phone while still using the SIM card provided by that company phone.
