I bought my Evo 4G a few days ago. I wanted to root it like I did my Droid X(MIUI 1.9.16) so I began to search for guides. I came upon a guide on youtube. I followed him all the way to the step where I drop the pc36img.zip file onto the root of my SD card(I can honestly say I may have misplaced it) Oh yes I didn't make a back up. Stupid I know. Don't need people telling me that. I then powered down and powered back on holding the Down Volume button. The bootloader(I believe) screen looks like this. -Revolutionary- SUPERSONIC EVT3 SHIP S-OFF HBOOT-6.16.1002 MICROP-041f TOUCH PANEL-ATMEL224_16ab RADIO-2.15.00.0808 Mar 8 2011, 17:02:15 HBOOT Parsing...[SD ZIP] BOOT - OK BOOTLOADER - Bypassed MICROP - OK RADIO_V2 - Fail-PU RECOVERY - OK SPLASH1 - OK SYSTEM - OK TP TP - Bypassed USERDATA - OK WIMAX - OK Partition update fail! I downloaded the files and followed the directions for unrooting out of this guide http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all...ooting-dummies-guide-gingerbread-edition.html. I have tried clearing storage to no avail and my EVO is fresh out of the box and was stock til all this happend. I am not sure what to do. I want to go back to stock out the box and start all over. But my phone won't boot up. Oh and if I pull battery then try powering up normally, it just stays at the htc EVO 4G screen. Any thoughts?
