I can't clear the terminal screen in any terminal app. (reply already)

    The "clear" command does nothing. If I type the command in, nothing will happen and the terminal will just go to the next line awaiting another command.

    Is "clear" the wrong command?
    Could I download the correct command somewhere?

    When I type in clear and hit enter, nothing happens.

    Do you have busybox installed?
    Busybox gives you the unix commands.

    It's easy enough to check. See if you have the busybox installer in your app drawer.
    It could also be a matter of you using the incorrect path to your commands.

    I know some of the commands behave differently depending upon what you have installed.
    I use better terminal emulator pro, some of the commands there work better than the ones from busybox.
    The find command for instance kept giving me errors from busybox, so I copied the one from BTEP.

    cls doesn't work in unix unless you make it an alias to clear.
