I have been pretty busy today, but I took my phone off the charger about 12 hours ago and I am at 60%. Like I said I have busy and haven't played with my phone much today but dang that is good.

On a sad note, I was holding my phone and my wife bumped into me and I dropped my phone on the linoleum floor and my battery back fell off. I was super pissed but glad to see not even a scratch on my phone. I never dropped my Incredible and only dropped my Eris once, but this after two days. I think I am going to buy a case now.

What is the largest battery available at the moment for the X? Is it above 1800 mAh? And what is "heavy" usage for those getting good bat. life? At constant use, I've noticed that 3 or so hours will take my battery gauge to 30% (note: this was done after first full charge.)

Mine depends on my wifi setting.. Wifi off it runs all day no problem... Wifi on I'm lucky to get 3hrs

Used it all day today, played games, surfed the web, watched a few videos, texted, and when in and was in a low coverage spot for a long time, and got 16+ hours out of it........Heck ya, WAAAAAAY better than my Moto Droid 1. Also I've had it for two days and have yet to make a phone call on it, HA.

another user who is happy with the battery life, didn't measure it but used it for a long time and there was plenty of battery left, very impressed. Coming from the storm, which had good battery life so it's business as usual probably part of the reason the storm was so fat.

Mine was meh yesterday. I took the social networking and weather widgets off yesterday and deleted my twitter account. Decided to just use the Twitter app instead. I'm wondering if that will help anything.

I was getting terrible battery life the first 3 days...then yesterday after it hit 30% after 5 hours, i powered it off, took the battery out for a minute then put it back in and my battery read 70% and lasted for 6 more hours...i was happy with that, hopefully the battery will condition so i don't have to remove it every day!

Ditto. I even turned on GPS AND BlueTooth, and the battery life still hung in there like a champ. With the Moto Droid, I was always reaching for a charger or spare battery midway through the day. Between the astounding battery life, the keyboard, screen and speed, I'm doing a Snoopy dance..... But oh how I wish they had left the original Droid's speaker alone. This one is just too soft. Oh well...

Is it safe to say that there is a bit of a bug in regards to reading battery life?

Totally agree about the bug...the problem is the phone really thinks the battery is dead and powers off the phone and doesn't let us power back on...this could very well explain the abrupt 5% warning then immediate power off.

Let's hope the OTA will fix this.

I've got zero complaints about my batter, it's freakin amazing! My last couple phones (Imagio/Omnia) completely blew chunks when it came to battery life but the X is a ROCK STAR baby! hahah lovin it

Actually mine says Display 89%, Cell standby 10%, Phone idle 2%...I just noticed something else too. My phone sayd it's been unplugged for 1 hour 30 minutes, but I unplugged it at 10 AM, 4 hours ago...I did power off my phone at one point, I guess that would reset this count.
