    Hello,
My phone started this new thing where I can't leave a vm/message on someone else's phone. My phone dials and receives calls fine, and I get my voicemails, I just can't leave them. When I dial a number, it will ring, but if the person doesn't answer, when their phone picks up and normally a vm message starts it is silent. I've tested this on several phone numbers, so it is not a problem with one number.
    Any insight would be appreciated!
    Thank you.

I have a real hard time believing that anything with your phone, has anything to do with leaving a voice mail on someone's phone line... there is no physical connection between the two.

who ever you are calling has their voicemail box full, or it needs to be set up properly again.

EG: just this week, for some damn reason, my wife's voice mail box lost ALL of its' setup info.
I had to completely reconfigure it and give it a new pincode.
Her phone did not change, and her number did not change... but the VM sure got screwed up somehow. it is a fault with the carrier, not the phone.

I know it makes no sense, but like I said, I've tested this on multiple phone numbers and the vm does not pick up on ANY of them. I tested again by calling those same numbers from a different phone and the voicemail picks up.

Your phone makes outgoing calls, period. There's no way for it to distinguish between answering the call or going to vm.
Weather or not a call is picked up or goes to vm, shouldn't matter.
This may be a hardware problem with the microphone then.

Do any of the people you talk to remark about any strange noises from your phone?

IF YOU INSIST IT IS YOUR PHONE:
I think you need to back up all of your data, pictures, etc...
and just FDR the phone and start all over.

Been in electronics since 1958, and sometimes the simplest way to fix a problem, is to annihilate it.

Once you call a number, there is nothing your phone can do to stop their Voice Mail from answering....

That is logical, but not what's happening. I use my phone all day for work to call clients. No problem when they answer. Silent when they don't. The call doesn't disconnect, it's just silent when you'd typically hear the vm message. AT&T can't figure it out either as they recognized this is happening and have no solution. That's what brought me here.

It was my phone I'd take it back for a refund. Period.

Yet it does. I do appreciate the input. It really sucks because this is a brand new phone!

And prepare to give them an example of the issue, so they can see for themselves
