I cannot restore factory settings on my Samsung ON5. When I try manual restore, I get the following message:

Could not mount /data and unable to find crypto footer.
Failed to mount '/data' (Invalid argument)
    Unable to recreate /data/media folder.
    Updating partition details...
Failed to mount '/data' (Invalid argument)
    ...done
    Unable to mount storage
Failed to mount '/data' (Invalid argument)
    Full SELinux support is present.
    Unable to mount /data/media/TWRP/.twrps
    MTP Enabled
Failed to mount '/data' (Invalid argument)
    Formatting Cache using make_ext4fs...
    Updating partition details...
Failed to mount '/data' (Invalid argument)
    ...done
    Unable to mount storage

Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

    The storage is encrypted.

So is it as simple as turning off the encryption and if so, how would I do that? Is there another workaround if that is not possible?

You could try formatting the data. Wipe- Format data, type yes. Or you could do that and try a disabler zip. Data will be wiped, no differently then a factory reset i guess.

Might be the internal storage is corrupted and could be failing. If reformatting doesn't work, could be the phone needs repair or replacement.

    However...

    "Unable to mount /data/media/TWRP/.twrps"

That sounds like this phone has been rooted and modified. If you have rooted and modified it, please provide full details of what you've done, so we might be able to help you more.

Agreed after skimming the web that device doesn't use a disabler zip. Flash the device firmware.
