I only dropped from about 2 feet by the way (concrete). So what do I do? I'm on verizon 2 year and I got the phone less than a month ago. Is it too late to sign up for insurance? If not, is the insurance plan worth it?

I've never been a big fan of insurance. They not only charge you the monthly surcharge, but there is deductible should you ever need a replacement. Since the two biggest accidents are dropping and breaking the screen or water damage, you either have a fairly simply fix or a drowned phone.

Replacing the screen on these phones isn't too hard and you can pick up the parts for under $100. If the LCD still works, all you need is the digitzer.

Then $60 and a torx screwdriver should fix it, if you're a little handy.

Thanks. Does that link you gave me to the digitizer include the actual glass screen?

That's what the digitizer is ... the glass touch screen on top of the LCD display.

Can i take it into a store for replacement or do I have to mail it in? How long does it take? Will it cost me extra if i need a total replacement?
