I downloaded the 2.1 zip to sd card, and cleaned all off of sd card, EXCEPT the zip file. Put the other 1.5 files on another sd card

Installed 2.1, no issues at all. Runs great

Do I need to put those misc files back on, or are they included in 2.1

Once you've installed 2.1, you don't need the original zip file that had the ROM on it.

All you do now is put your music, pictures, etc. back on there. If you forget to put a system file back on to the microSD card, the phone will just make another folder with what it needs, such as for temp files and such. So it may be a good idea, just for good housekeeping, to just put your stuff on there (stuff that you know what it is pics, music, etc.) and let the phone make necessary adjustments. It'll prevent the card from being cluttered up with useless data from apps you have uninstalled.

After my 2.1 upgrade, I am running 96.81 MB free internal phone available memory.

Is this what I should exspect? Also, if not, how can I improve it?

    Many thanks,

    Bob

Yeah, that's pretty good considering the phone only has 128MB.
