Okay, so for some reason its telling me there is low storage space on my phone. I deleted nearly everything, and its still bugging me. In the meantime, it keeps telling me that I have no more space for text messages. So I try to delete some but the screen goes dim, and that little loading circle appears and spins but then NOTHING GETS DELETED I've had it sitting here forever and nothing gets done.

What REALLY sucks is that because of it I can't open any new text messages I recieve, it says I have to delete some first.

This is the worst phone ever.

    -Have you cleared your cache?

Go to Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > Menu > Sort by Size > Click on each app and clear the cache

-Check how much free memory you have, it should never be under 25-30MB

Settings > SD card & phone storage > Internal phone storage

-You should uninstall all apps you do not use anymore.

-If all else fails, do a factory reset (erases all data except OS and items on SD card), but back up everything first.

Settings > Privacy > Factory data reset

    Your a heavy texter, amirite?

Anyhow, deleting messages takes a really long time in Android, so just tell it to delete some messages, and let it sit overnight. It should be done by morning, unless you have 100,000 texts or something. If that doesn't work, you can always wipe the phone, and remember to delete messages more frequently.

And your "worst phone ever" comment made me laugh. Really, really hard.

It sounds like you have a ton of text on the phone. Unfortunately, with everything else the phone has to manage it isn't exactly designed to store a huge number of text messages.

The good news is that this is most likely the cause of all your problems.

Here are a few programs that will help you get things back to normal.

    Super SMS Quick Delete
    SMS Cleaner Free
    Delete old messages
    SMS Easy Deleter

You should be good after deleting a good portion of your text. Let us know if you have any problems after that.

Yea its a pain trying to delete mass text messages. I try to delete my threads around 300-400 messages and it only take a couple minutes. Just tell it to delete one thread at a time and let it sit.

This phone was poorly designed with the paritions. My wife's Eris is constantly having space issues, mainly with the HTC Mail app. It's sad that it only starts off with ~130mb of free space to install apps, email, etc.

2.2 fixes that problem, should we ever get it.
