Thats it...... what
Guys all I have is root, stock rom.
What should I do if I want root and want to wait for the offical OTA and not the leaked one.
S-off> wait for Official OTA.
S-off> other steps?> wait for ota
That's a hardware issue. The only "fix" is not using a Li-Ion battery ( Assuming you are talking about charging while off. The plug-unplugX4 "shouldnt" do anything, otherwise you are actually over-charging the battery, and any fix would just stop it. )
Course, theres also the Apple fix...just make it so the battery meter doesn't register the initial drop
I do not see any evidence that the blue tooth issue plaguing so many of us is included with the update, its not on the PDF floating around.
1. nOOb Question
2. Forgive me if posted in wrong thread.
3. Forgive the lame obvious/lame question.
4. I'm not rooted..I only have the 1st OTA that was leaked awhile back on my phone.
Is anyone using this leak now?...
Any problems installing it?...
Can/should I install it now?...
If anyone has installed this leak on their phone...are you having any problems with it?...
I don't understand this three day window stuff...why can't the update be available to everyone at the same time? That's the way it is for any other firmware update on any other product.
In case something goes wrong
Please complete the poll if and when you receive the OTA.
I hate you now...is there any rhyme or reason to who gets it when?
Because if the update were made available to everyone at once:
1 - it would tax Verizon's servers, making the download slower for everyone or possibly making the download impossible
2 - if a problem were found, it would be much more difficult to roll back EVERY Incredible user who installs it.
They roll out the update to a few thousand (or tens of thousand or whatever) customers at first just to make sure there aren't any major issues.
Maybe we can transfer Michael Weston's 100 thanks' to you somehow? I'll get on it.
Yes. Everyone will get it after it's actually pushed out by Verizon.
A company like Verizon should have big enough servers and they've had since April to test the update. Those aren't good excuses.
It doesnt bother me who gets it when, but this will be a good way to see when it actually starts....
Ok, did somebody ACTUALLY receive the OTA (from Verizon), or are they rooted and showing off?
No idea what this means but I was planning on rooting the phone after the FROYO update. Advisable or not?
The one person that voted they received 2.2 is the same person that pushes all of the floor buttons in an elevator and then runs back to their room giggling.
Edit: I'm not clicking that I don't have it yet cause I don't want to jinx it.
you are clearly not in the technology industry
Well almost 9am and now one running through the forums yelling they got Froyo yet... Who's gonna get it first?
Could just be a random wiseass...
The HTC Droid Incredible release date was April 2010. Features and Specs include a 3.7" inch screen, 8MP camera, Snapdragon S1 processor, and 1300mAh battery.
