Hi guys. My first post in this forum, I suppose this is a rather redundant topic, but I also assume that there isn't many posts from my country, and it seems WHERE you live makes a huge difference in what you have access to from Samsung regarding firmware! I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. 3G I live in Costa Rica (Central America), but the Tab was purchased in the US Android ver. 3.2 Baseband version P7500XXKK3 Build number HTJ85B.ZSKK1 P7500ZSKK1 Kernel version 184.108.40.206 se.infra@set-59 #1 Like the title says, since I got it on December 2011, I've never been able to update it's firmware. I've always tried using my WiFi connection (which is good enough). I always get the "failed to update firmware... try again using pc software (kies)" message after reboot. The update downloads without errors and it seems to be installing well... I've never tried Kies before, I'm going to try it tonight. But I was wondering if there is a way to find an update that might work for me to do it manually. The model was brought to me from the US but my 3G carrier is local of course. I suppose THAT's where the trouble is? Anyway, any suggestions besides the obvious use of Kies? Thanks for any help! It seems now even Jellybean is available for it?? (I have it on my S3, would love to see it running on my Tab as well!). Cheers!
