I ditched my Galaxy Nexus on VZW to pre order the Note when it came to AT&T. The thought of a device with a screen that big was bliss to me. I had the note until 4 days ago, when VZW lured me back with promises of my unlimited data being restored and other promises. I decide to give the Razr Maxx a shot with that incredible battery life and the promise of ICS very soon.

I sold my Note on Ebay and my Razr came on Thursday morning. I tried to love it but the screen size looked miniscule! I know it is 4.3 inches but for some reason Motorola makes their screens soooooooo narrow. it was a champ in battery life, call quality and signal strength. But that screen!

Okay, I take it to VZW Friday morning to trade it for a GNex. I try to forget about the reception issues with the Gnex I had before and tell myself they had to have resolved it by now. It will be so nice to have ICS again! And the screen is 4.65 inches (not too bad).

Well yesterday after struggling to hold 2 bars of 3G at my home, multiple times of programs just booting me out for no reason and the mediocre life of the extended battery due to poor signal reception I broke. I bought a brand new Note on Ebay for $540 and shipping.

I will be taking my $640 paper weight back to VZW on Monday or Tuesday. I will be running my Note on Straight Talk again. For $45 unlimited everything it is the best choice, I mean it still runs on AT&T's network without the contract and limits.

The Note to me is just about perfect!! That screen..... what can I say? Everything else looks like an iPhone sized screen compared to it! I started to get used to the GNex screen again sort of but the Note haunted me.

The Note has great call quality, the perfect sized screen imho and a lot of other good qualities. Once this thing gets ICS.....WOW!!!!! If I could get just stock ICS on the Note I would die!

I really hope Samsung continues to make phones this size and for that matter I would like to see other companies follow suit. But for now I sit here dying to get my Note in the mail! AHHHHHHHHHH I miss you Note :)

Nice! I sold my N7000 and I regretted it. I replaced it with a i717 (Telus edition).

On my international note I was running a really stable aosp ice cream sandwich rom (no touchwiz). It was really nice. Too bad there is less development for this model. :(

Ha Awesome! The Galaxy Note is the most Amazing phone I have ever had! Right now I have the Note (i717) and a Droid X that I used when I was with Verizon. When I pick my Droid X up to do ANYTHING on it, It feels like a toy compared to the Note! Quick question..How do you get Straight Talk on the Note?

If you have the AT&T version of the note you can go to Straight Talks web site or to a Wal Mart store. Buy the AT&T compatible sim for $14.99 and the $45 plan. Put the sim in your Note got to your Network settings and change the settings as per the instructions included with your sim card. Then Bam! It runs on AT&Ts network with unlimited everything for $45 a month!

How is this possible? I mean, AT&T allows this to happen? I wonder if AT&T will put a stop to this???

Not likely. Straight Talk is a MVNO operated by Wal Mart. They also have their own devices some of which work on AT&T, Sprint or Verizon. Straight Talk is a division of Trac fone.

Wal Mart "leases" space on these carriers towers. The carrier is getting a kick back also. It is win win and it allows a different demographic for lack of a better term to utilize wireless services.

I'm in the middle of my 30 day trial after using my upgrade on the i717 AT&T Note, I love it. But, I really want the GT N7000 version... I have an iphone4 to sell and am thinking about sending the i717 back and buying the n7000. The cost wouldn't be too bad after selling my iPhone and i wouldn't be locked into another 2 years with AT&T.

I've recently stumbled upon this StraightTalk talk... I looked up some info about it, and a blogger wrote about lingo he found in the contract that states that the "unlimited data" basically can't be used for anything we all use data for...

Nope, Straight Talk is 3G only, so LTE doesn't work at all. My average speeds on Straight talk are between 1-3 mbs down. (It's pretty slow, definitely much slower than LTE.)

Just wanted to let you all know I GOT MY NOTE AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!! I know it is expensive but I put her back on AT&T. Funny thing is since I was only gone 8 days they let me "reactive " my account.
This consisted of waiving my termination fee. When I went to the store to get a sim and port my number back they started me on a new account noted "customer provided equipment".

So I had no termination fee no activation fee and I am out of contract with an upgrade available. Holy loophole Bat Man.

That's because I ported out and sold my Note I got from AT&T. Then I bought my New Note (brand new) on Ebay for like $545. When I went back Instead of just starting my old account again They gave me a new sim for the new Note and started a whole new account but they honored the notes from the csr about restarting my account lol.

    I confused them. :D

Hi, I read that if you upgrade to ICS you won't be able to use the data from StraightTalk on the Galaxy Note. I'm planning to do the ST switch soon on my white Galaxy Note. This phone is awesome.
