I just got the update message again today 6/30/2010

    Like it says I just got it today so is this the same as last ? I do not whant to brick a second phone from these updates.

    Supposedly it works fine, and the new update was changed a little bit so that if you accidentally apply it twice, it shouldn't brick the phone.

    Risky. May work or may brick your phone. I wouldn't do it. Wait for the devs to put out a patched root version.

    Check your software version. Settings<<About phone<<Software information<<Software number. If you don't have version 1.47.651.1 (the 6/28 update), then you should update. Otherwise don't touch it.
