118f is pretty hot, highest ive seen mine 106, if its happening everytime u use the phone then I would just get it replaced. When my phone is underload it normally gets as high as 100f which is normal from what I can tell.

I'm just wondering why this happened. Is it because I was doing a lot at once?

Of the 5 Epics I've had, one of them would over heat. I think its a defect, return it, before it blows up in your face!

Haha I can't return but when it was plugged into the wall I was doing many things could that have been the cause?

First, I DID NOT WRITE THIS, I found it, in quotes.

"When electrical current flows from the battery to the phone it creates heat due to resistance in the wiring and circuitry. The amount of heat generated when the phone is not in use is negligable, however, when you are using the phone you are consuming more power and, thus creating more heat. Nothing to worry about unless you notice the battery bulging."

Another person I asked says that If the phone overheats to the point where it's repeatedly powering itself off, that may be a sign of a hardware issue with your battery.
  9. screw that hope it does blow up - you got a multi-million dollar law suite on your hands there for sure! - and you can bet they will want to settle out of court for like millions so I saw hope it does but you dont get that hurt
