My sister's epic was "jailbroke" by her boyfriend. It messed the phone up from receiving updates. I need to find an instruction guide on how to completely unroot/flash back to default sprint EVO 4g so she can get her updates.

    Any info is appreciated.

If its an Epic then it is a little more complicated to do than an Evo is but I think I can help you get back to stock as I have rooted and returned a couple to stock. You can try the Epic forums but they are by far not nearly as helpful as this forum is. If it is an Evo, you have come to the right place. Let us know either way.

What updates do you need? We have a rooted version of every update available and even updates that aren't available yet :). We can certainly unroot your phone but it's easier to just flash an updated rom...

I would very much like to be able to return the phone to "stock" condition as far as the OS goes.

P.S. after "rooting" the phone a program called "superuser permission" is on there now. If that helps any.

The Superuser program is necessary to be able to use root only apps like Wifi Tether and Titanium Backup. Like Matt said, there are rooted versions of all of the updates including current and yet to be released. If you are intent on unrooting, there are full instructions in the Rooting for Dummies guide under "After Rooting" that will return the phone to stock "out of the box" condition.
