i need to unroot my phone but itt wont work...i have it hooked up but it keeps giving me an error saying it cant connect.

Do you have the latest sync software, or the drivers installed? I think some additional info would be helpful. What operating system do you have on your computer? How did you root? What ROM are you using? Or..are you using one of the "leaks"?

I recommend downloading rom manager from the google market.

Download the RUU to your sdcard, and use the rom manager to flash it back to a basic phone.

do i need to put the whole ruu on, or just the zip file?

the RUU is a program that is run from your computer.

when running the RUU, make sure that debugging is turned on and the SD card is NOT mounted
