I s there a way to turn off one of the LED's on Dinc when taking pics?

Ok I love my phone I had a Moto Droid before this phone I am very happy overall just when I take pics people look like ghost when i take pics at night or indoors? Is there a way to turn down or turn off one of the LED's? Thanks

The button you are referring to is on the actual screen. It gives the option to turn off, turn on or automatic. Since the 2.2 update it has become much better for the flash and the camera itself but there is much room for improvement. It will tone down the flash based on the lighting of the area you are taking the picture. It does an ok job but you will still get blow out from time to time.

There was a thread about the camera flash fix. It suggested to place a layer (or two) over the LEDs and under the back cover to diffuse the ultra bright effect.

It works great. I have had mine diffused since I read the article with no reduction in picture quality.

If you turn the camera brightness down to -2 while using the flash, the pictures end up alright. However, I agree that the flash is way too bright.

The best fix is a physical hack. Ideally you would want a dome-like cover, but it is hard to do w/o making your phone look stupid.

I also noticed setting the ISO manually instead of leaving it in auto makes for better pics indoors, speeds up the camera a bit too
