call it the Supersonic. I've tried to go with the whole EVO thing but Supersonic is just stuck in my mind. Anyone else still want to call it the Supersonic with me?????

Or a nice compromise would be calling it the EVO Supersonic or Supersonic EVO!

Yeah i kinda agree with you. Supersonic sounded way cooler but i can kinda understand evo for like evolution. But supersonic just sounded kinda awsome. I'm caught between the two names.

I'm with you guys, supersonic sounded way better. Of course a corporate big wig may not agree, which I am assuming is the reason they changed it.

supersonic was just a code name for htc. sprints codename for the phone was gypsie. atleast, gypsie is what i remember hearing from twospirits. he had an article that said that. im 98% sure it was gypsie.

Yes it was named Gypsie internally, why who knows and who the hell comes up with these names. Probably some guy named Picard. I do like the Supersonic EVO.

    Picard, make it so. lol

TS out (being transported to another section)

Well thank God it wasn't Gypsie lmao

    "What do you own?"
    "A Gyspie"

The EVO is a name I like because I'm a car enthusiast so the name already stuck with me in terms of the car. Supersonic was a good name too though.

Supersonic or revolution would be great names. I hate the name of my phone.

While I like it, I feel EVO and EVOlution just make more sense but sadly a revolution is better than an evolution...

I took the name change to Evo as a sign this was the android phone I would finally buy (I'm in a grad program that focuses on evolution).

No comment on the fact the hardcore evolutionist is looking for "signs" about which phone to buy :p

Let me guess. Long Term EVOlution. LTE.

Not only does sprint have the first 4g network, but they are going to steal your name and rub your face in it.

Marketing says any name that can not be abbreviated must be less then two syllables long.
