Okay, a while back I picked up the Dell Venue pro 8 to play around with. Well, there are things I do like about it, but honestly, it is not for me and therefore, I am thinking about getting rid of it, passing it off to my sister. I aim to do this via a factory reset.

My question is, will doing this ruin office? I have NOT activated office, or even tried to use it. I assume office is also in the recovery partition and will be reinstalled along with windows, but I am not sure. It is not a huge issue if office is gone after the reset, I am just curious.

As long as Office is part of the bloatware that came with the device, then it will remain after your reset.

You can download a trial version of office from Microsoft anyway, even if it doesn't get reinstalled, but if it was there when you bought the thing, it will be there when you run recovery.

Is it just the software you don't like about it? I thought about getting one but wasn't sure about the possibility of loading a decent OS.
