I was trying to install custom ROM with the Droid X bootstrapper, it installed successfully and then was stuck on the red M logo for 10 minutes so I pulled the battery. I tried to get into the custom boot loader to try to install again or at least restore nandroid backup; I could only get into stock recovery for some reason. I erased everything using stock recovery so I could just SBF flash, I SBF flashed and then it said battery was low -____- and I read around only to find out you can't charge the battery when in bootloader mode, I'm leaving it plugged into the wall because it seems like its charging. It didn't flash correctly with SBF and it doesn't seem like it wants to get out of bootloader everytime on turn it on after battery pull. It was on gingerbread 2.3.3 I think before starting all this with usb debugging off.

Same thing happened to me last night. Unfortunately no, it doesn't charge when you're in the bootloader. You're going to have to find a way to get a charged battery and re-try it.

Do you get the Code Corrupt message in the bootloader when you get in? If so, at least the phone is recoverable. Just keep attempting to SBF it. And make sure to close the program after it fails and relaunch it. That's all I can say. I had to attempt the SBF four times before it went through.

If you can get back to regular stock recovery then the battery WILL check there. It may just take a little while. Else you're best bet is to buy a cheap external battery charger. There's a chance that someone at the Verizon store has a spare DX to allow you to charge it there or maybe you have a friend with a DX. Yeah, you're kind of in a bad situation.

After you got into factory recovery and wiped data you should have been able to boot right up. Did you try before you sbf'ed again or did you go right from factory recovery to another sbf?
