Support i wanna update my gt540 from v 2.1 to 3.0

    hi i m new here i have an lg gt540 and at da moment i m using v2.1 and i want to update it to new versons like 3 thru computer so plz plz plz help me out

    Android 3.0 is for tablets only... GT540 can be updated to 2.1 officially.. There is CyanogenMod 7/Android 2.3.4 available, This ain't official & will void warranty

    i alredy have v 2.1 n i dnt hve much knwledge abt rom ec n is it safe plz help me out as i m sick of 2.1v

    Check out the thread & post there what you don't understand or ask anything & everyone will try to help... :) It's not totally safe, you have to do it carefully... Also, it WILL void your warranty

    use the LGmobile support tool which can be downloaded at the lg website 4 free

    Hi Dudeman,

    Ur posts helped me a lot in identifying what is Cyanogenmod and Swifdriod and having good time having them in my GT540.

    Now just wondering what is the Data2System @600mhz. Provide me if u got a thread for that.

    Sorry for the late reply.

    Data2System is when you repartition the phone on board memory so allow 250MB of internal storage for apps. Here's how to do it.

    The @600MHz part is the frequency my phone's CPU is clocked at, the higher the clock speed, the better performance but more battery life is used. 600MHz is the default setting.
