Ok, since I was stupid enough to accept EC05 update from Sprint abt 2 weeks ago, now I noticed my hotspot isn't working. Called sprint- they will be happy to activate it for a mere 30/mo. So, any fix out there. Is rooting the answer or do I have to roll back and flash factory settings?? Helpppp!

The sprint hotspot has never been free...they've always charged 30 a month for it.

I'm just curious if he was getting the official hotspot for free due to some glitch.

Yes, it was the sprint hotspot that was previously working on my phone.... I decided to have someone root my phone last night. After much grief on his part (he found my SD card was bad) he finally got it rooted. I will admit I was fearful about this rooting process, but in the end I was pleasantly surprised how easy I was able to restore my apps, emails, contacts etc. Now I have wireless tethering, faster CPU speed, and am not married to all those junk apps that Sprint forced me to have!!!!! So far, no glitches!!!!
