I'm looking for a battery indicator that is hopefully nothing more than the battery % or the battery % inside of a button. Anybody seen one or can you recommend the cleanest, most simple option you've witnessed?

Id love something lie this too. Hopefully something that displays the percentage in place of the default indicator. I don't care for a 1x1 widget.

You can try Blink, It will alert you with a different color when you have low battery. Blink extends your default Android LED alert system and allows you to customize LED color for SMS/MMS, Incoming Call/Missed Call, and Low Battery/Memory. Hope this helpful:D BTW this is totally free.

I use one that just sits in the status bar at the top of the screen so doesn't even take up any room on the home screen. All it is is the % within a box. Will need to check what it's called and get back to you.

Update: It's called Battery Indicator by Darshan computing.
