    I'm tired of seeing this every time I go to type. Messenger, facebook, email, Google everything!! It's a bs link!!

    Or I'm not doing it correctly. I search for keyboard and nothing is clicking.

    Looks like a feature of the particular keyboard app you're using? "COVID-19"? Does it open an ad when you tap on it, like trying to sell you masks or something? Maybe try a different keyboard app, to one that doesn't contain ads? I usually recommend Gboard or Swiftkey.

    are you looking in the app management in your phone's settings? is it a specific keyboard app as suggested by @mikedt ?

    Yeah, the problem there was Touchpal. I assume they paid HTC to install them as the stock keyboard, but it's neither the first nor the worst crap they've pushed onto users. We solved a different but related problem on my wife's HTC 10 in the same way.
