My phone is build 002, suffering from light leakage, middle sensor issues on the LCD screen, random reboots, and the power button is now flushed with the casing iself. It no longer protrudes like it should. Has anyone exchanged their EVO under these same conditions and received a new one? I have 8 days left and want to exchange this before my 30 days are up.

I exchanged mine because my hdmi out wasn't working apparently it was a cheap cable and not the phone. Go figure.

My launch day 002 is going back to BB today...same power button issue, no notification bar at the top of the screen, other odd software issues however brief...crossing my fingers.

But I knew going in that this was a first run device, so I'm not disillusioned at all...the Evo is a fantastic phone.....it simply needs to get more completely sorted out.

I just exchanged mine due to the power button squeeking and having to take battery out to pewer back up after shutting down. I mentioned the screen lifting when i exchanged but she told me they wouldn't be exchanging for that reason due "everybody freaking out due to some rediculous posts on the web". So yes they'll exchange for power button issues. Hope this helps you.

You don't need a reason to take the phone back <= 30 days.
If they give you any grief just say "I'm returing it" granted you'll give up your phone number, but then you can turn right around and buy it from the same jerk that told you no. lol

Thanks, the power button issue IS annoying. It's now flush to the phone and plus the random freezes, having to remove the battery to reboot the device is crazy! Hopefully my BB has EVO's in stock and I get a newer build.

So I called my local best buy if they had any in stock because I wanted to exchange mine. She says yes. So I get there and someon else there tells me they're all on hold for other people. F$#!^$ ridiculous! So now I have only one week before my 30 day return policy is up. They put me on the waiting list. We'll see how this unfolds.

    TO BE CONTINUED....
