Root I want to use 3-ltr abbreviations instead of folder icons

Instead of the icon of a folder with a title beneath it, I would like each folder to be represented ONLY by a three letter sequence. Sort of like an icon.

WRK COM UTL DOC etc.

Is there anything that will let me do that? Perhaps by constructing custom icons from images, etc?

If you can find or make some icons (I don't know much about how to do the making), you can use desktop visualizer (free on the market) to create custom icons for your home screens.

I would check the xda forums, launcherpro forums, and deviant art for icon packs. I feel like there has to be someone else who has had the same idea that you have. You might also be able to find out more information on making your own icons.
