I want to use outlook contacts only.. No Google contacts. How can I do this?
I just ordered an Outlook book to figure out what the heck I'm doing.
You can either go in to the "People" application and select Menu, View, and then check the contact types you want to show or delete the contacts out of your Google account if you have no need for them (which is what I ended up doing)
I had the same situation. I only use Outlook contacts and initially every single email I ever emailed from my gmail was dumped on my phone along with Facebook contacts. There's a utility in the market called something like contact remover that allows you to mass delete contacts. I nuked all my contacts, disabled gmail contact syncing and Facebook contact syncing, and only allow Exchange. This did the trick for me.
Sometimes it will not allow you to remove your default gmail account so you have to do this. Good luck.
Same here, I hate that it did that. Thanks for the tip, I'm going to try that also.
