I have all of my events saved in iCal that I want to sync with the calendar on my Erie.

I've already tried to go into iCal preferences and add the google calendar, which seemed to have worked fine, but it only adds my events from today until mid-October, and the rest shows blank and deleted things from my iCal.

Am I missing something?

Is there a way to sync iCal right to phone without using google calendar at all?

There is a third party app called The Missing Sync. I used to use that back when I used a WM phone, but it kept getting messed up, and I finally just switched to Google Cal and Google contacts and used tools to ActiveSync from there, and used an app called Spanning Sync to sync iCal and Address Book to Google. I have used Spanning Sync for over three years and have had only two issues, both resolved by their support very quickly. Obviously, switching to Android made syncing with my phone even better.

The Missing Sync for Android.

I have not used Missing Sync for Android myself, and I wouldn't use my experience from over three years ago with Windows Mobile as an example of what will happen with Android. I have found a solution that I like, but you may prefer Missing Sync, and it may be worth a try. You may want to contact them to see what their return policies are if the product doesn't work for you.

Thanks. I had Missing Sync for WM also, and wasn't really a huge fan. I was hoping to set up something similar to what you seem to have going with the Spanning Sync.

I don't have to totally eliminate Google Calendar out of the picture, I was just asking to see if there was a solution to go right from iCal to Android.

I will look into both Spanning Sync and Missing Sync to find a good option.

Thanks again!!

One more option - BusyCal, a replacement for iCal (which adds functionality, including the ability to sync directly with Google Cal.) The people who make BusyCal also make BusySync.

I actually think either option may be better than Spanning Sync, but I already have SS...
