Icon in notification bar?

Nik Blake

Lurker
Hi there,

Newbie here needing an answer if possible. I turned on my phone today to find an icon in the notification bar i hadn't seen before. It is of an upside down phone with curved lines coming out of it. Any ideas what this means, how it got there and how to remove it.

Sorry if this is a really stooooopid question!

Many thanks

Nik

Glad to be of help. ;)
If that's what it is you probably don't want to remove it, this is actually a very cool feature to have. I've had it through Metro/T-Mobile here in the states for some time now and it's great. Lets you make/receive calls when there's wifi available even if you're out of cell range, and the call quality is better. When it's baked into the phone firmware like EE is doing (and like Metro/T-Mo does) it's seamless and uses your regular phone dialer and user interface. This is actually why I stick with the carrier-branded phones because the BYOD's don't have this capability.
