any problems with it at the moment? is it stable enough to use as a daily driver?

Well, happy to say that i think it is! Have been using this since yesterday afternoon without a single Force close or freeze. Wi-fi, bluetooth, data, calls and texts all working. Feels very fast and smooth considering it is the very first alpha release and even more strangely, battery life appears (been using less than 24 hours so still hard to tell) to be very good.

As it stands, i can't see any reason why i won't be using this as a daily driver. Worth keeping an eye on the Android Revolution HD thread as well as Mike has also update to the ICS base ;)

Personally, the only thing now that will get me off of this is if it decides to pack up after a few days (unlikely) or a non-Sense version is released!

Just installed ARHD ICS and just restoring my apps now. Even in the limited use so far it feels much smoother and even quicker than RCMix.

As before, if anyone has any questions they'd like answered about the ROM, let me know

Hiya, I`m a bit of a newbie with rooting and roms...

I have rooted my sensation following the guide at xda, so, do I download the ICS rom and run it from my laptop with the fone connected (of course, but it what mode?) or do I copy it to my memory card and run the zip from Hboot?

Cheers for any help.

Put the .zip file onto your sd card, boot into recovery (volume down + Power) and navigate to the back up option so you have a back up to fall back on. Clear cache and the dalvik cache (or download the superwipe script and flash this first)

Then go to 'install file from SD' card and choose the .zip file and install. You should be able to then boot up and enjoy ICS but note that first boot may take a little while

Well I put the Revolutionary ICS rom on, but it seemed a bit buggy compare to the stock, like getting some pop ups with `xxxx has stopped working would you like to close or wait` (not word for word), and I had issues with Gallery too, sometimes displayed all the albums, sometimes just some, and often non until I unmounted and remounted the SD card. So, I went into recovery and went back to the old stock rom....

Which is where I have another question (sorry), when I boot into HBoot, it says I`m still S offed, but if I try to do a backup using titanium it says it isnt rooted - I thought I would be perm rooted now? So to reroot should I repeat the last steps on XDA (the permanent root bit) or would just flashing a new rom take care of it? I will want to go back to ICS when more of the bugs are ironed out.

Cheers for your help...

Dan.

Did you flash the superwipe script before flashing the ICS ROM? If not, this could be causing quite a few of your bugs. Take a look here also, a great amount of knowledge for work arounds and bug fixes for ICS: Click Me

I think what's happened is that you've restored a back up of a ROM which is S-Off but not rooted. What you may need to do is to go through the root process again. If this does not work then try re-running the revolutionary s-off tool and re-install the recovery image.

My personal preference then would be to flash Android revolution HD (Non ICS version in post #1) It looks completely stock but is faster and gives better battery life when paired with the right kernel

Well, first time I cleared all the data manually, so this morning I found Super Wipe and used that first.
All was looking fine and dandy until I turned WiFi off...

...Now I have no mobile data connection.
I`ve tried fiddling with the Mobile network settings and always on mobile data is ticked too.

I havent flashed the new radio that is also listed by Revolutionary - I tried but the command prompt says it couldnt find the file (I have the .zip in a folder on my desktop and was follwing the instructions in the zip).

Scratch that, its working now....dont know how or what I did, but I got mobile data now !!

Thanks mbatson89 :)

Okay, might sound a little obvious/silly but have you tried a battery pull? Can you make/receive calls?
