Hey! I'm currently developing a turn based online multiplayer game for Android. I have gotten most of the dynamics up and running, players can log in, do several things and so on. My problem now is how players do attack each other. Each player is provided with some units after some time, players fight over resources, but how can I implement this fight? Right now an attacker first selects whom to attack, and then engages in a battle by pressing "attack". Some random calculation is done (both attacker and defender looses some units), and then the defender has one hour to respond to that attack, or if the defender has lost all his units, the attacker now own that resource. Well, this press "attack" solution is very much how RISK is played, but will be boring in the long run? Any idea of how I could/should implement this different?
